The Alp Cottage​
"Makuuaitta"

The cottage is a charming 100 year old log house located in the garden. The story tells that the great grand father Lauri Wilhelm had received a post card from Switzerland, and inspired by the picture of a Alpine cottage, he came with the idea of building a cottage with a steep and high ceiling. Hence, the cottage is called "Alppimaja" - Alp cottage. Until the mid 20th century this cool and shady cottage was where the youngsters of the farm would sleep their nights during the summer. 

The cottage is renovated to meet modern requirements yet preserving the atmosphere of happy Summer days of the old times. On the ground floor you will find a small kitchen, the bathroom with a shower, a cozy area with couches and a fire place, and a queen size bed. On the second floor you will find a comfy attic space with more beds.
